Roomba Snaps Photos Of Hilariously Adorable "Obstacle" In Its Way
Technology doesn't always work as intended — but that's not always a bad thing. If you have a Roomba, those vacuums that zoom around the house by themselves, you understand the obstacles they face. As in the literal obstacles they come across that keep them from being able to clean up as intended. Katie's Roomba has a feature to combat this issue. But most recently, it was also the source of lots of laughter.
When Katie's Roomba comes across what it detects to be an obstacle, it will automatically take a photo. From here, Katie has a few options. She can choose to indicate one of the following: There's a temporary obstacle, there's no obstacle, or this area needs to be added as a "Keep Out Zone." This feature can be helpful, but when the Roomba came across one of Katie's angry pups, she was gifted with some of the best photos ever.
Needless to say, when Katie received the notification about this obstacle, she did not expect to see these photos of her pup. From what these photos show, it's clear this adorable French Bulldog is not in the mood to deal with the Roomba's usual antics.
And while he tries to make this clear, it does seem like the Roomba may have won this battle. That said, I have a feeling this won't be the Roomba's last time dealing with this determined pup…
"Temporary obstacle about to make it a permanent problem for the mysterious rotating device," someone in the comment section of the video points out, with another adding, "He looks like an angler fish in the first one."
"I have never laughed so hard," a third person admits. "He was protecting his home from the alien invader for sure."

ENGAD620 $780 at WellbotsWe loved this robovac in our official review, calling it "the ideal robot vacuum and mop." The vacuuming performance is top-tier and can even suction up stubborn cat hair. The obstacle detection is also on point, so it won't get tripped up by the actual cat. The battery life is good and the base is well-designed and easy to use/empty.
The j9+ also found a place on our list of the best robot vacuums. It won the award for best combo model, as the mopping element is nearly as refined as the vacuum. It can struggle with extremely sticky messes, however, but will easily handle regular floor maintenance.
The only real downside with this device is the price. It's hard to recommend any vacuum at $1,400, even if it helps save tons of time. This isn't quite the case at $780.
Wellbots is also selling the Roomba Combo j5+ model for just $440 instead of $730, which is a savings of $290. Just pop the code "ENGAD290" in the checkout field. The regular j9+, without the mop, is on sale for $580 instead of $900 with the coupon code "ENGAD320."
